Frequently Asked Questions

It's never too early to start searching for child care, however contrary to popular belief it's very hard to add a child to a waitlist before they are born. At DaycareIQ we recommend you start researching facilities 6-8 months before you require child care.

People often lump all child care into the phrase 'daycare' when they actually mean something else. Depending on the age of your child you may be looking for after school care rather than daycare. We wrote a whole blog post on this that should help you understand what all the phrases mean. You can view that post here.

This is really up to you! Qualities that are members ask about are location and proximity to work or home, past inspection data from the government, whether the center has been accredited or not, what does the center look like (achieved by scheduling site visits) and of course cost. We recommend taking your time to select a child care provider since they become a very important part of your child's life.

Contact us at DaycareIQ and we will help you find a space. We'll contact our care providers and help to get you a space quickly that meets your criteria.
